About our farm

Here at our farm we have 112 acres of lush green scenery. 90 acres of beautiful pastures and 22 acres of  woods.  We have a daily pasture rotation for our cows and chickens. It helps ensure our pastures stay green and lush, and that our animals have the best health they

We are strongly against ANY use of chemicals, herbicides or GMOs on our farm.  No butts about it.

We raise cows (Milking Shorthorn & Jersey), Heritage pigs, and laying hens. None of our animals are ever given antibiotics or hormones.

Our cows are 100% grass fed/finished

Our pigs forage and are given skim milk, GMO-free shelled corn,  and garden scraps

Our hens scratch and are supplemented with Non-GMO & Soy free grain.

About Us

"We (Mel and Sadie Mae) moved onto the home farm in 2003. We were milking 45 cows, grazing half the farm, and row cropping the rest. A lot of erosion occurred during heavy rainfall so we decided to permanently go to an all grass production. We gradually fed less grain  to our cows and discontinued it altogether in 2007. That learning curve was steep as the cows didn't do very well that summer. Going back was never an option for us. Then we  started selling to some of the neighbors who appreciated not only the health benefits , but also the 100% grass fed taste.  At that time, we had also subscribed to "wise traditions" published by The Weston A. Price Foundation. Through that we learned more and more about the role raw grass fed dairy plays in ones' health. We realized this is how we want to make our living and what we want to raise our children on. As the children grew we were able to diversify into beef, chicken and pork all being raised in a way that optimizes the quality and flavor for your enjoyment and health. We take pride in maintaining an 100% grass-fed dairy farm and humanely raised animals "

-Melvin, The Farmer
