Q: What is 100% grass fed/finished pastured beef?
A: 100% grass fed is when the cow only eats grass from the pastures it roams all day long. Grass finished refers to how the steer is fed before it is slaughtered. Some farmers choose to only ever give their cows grass from 10 months (when they are weened from their mothers milk) to the time when they are taken to be slaughtered which gives the term "grass finished" while others will give their cows grain to finish fattening them up.

A: Free range means the chickens dont spend 24 hours inside their coop. Our chickens are 100% pasture raised. This means they have a coop on the pasture that they may go in or under but they spend most of their time roaming the pasture scratching for bugs to eat.
Q: Why is it important chickens are given soy-free feed?
A: Soy can drastically impact a chickens health. It can lead to serious mineral and vitamin deficiencies, especially manganese and iron. As of 2019, 94% of the soy in the USA is GMO. Soy also contains very high levels of phytoestrogens, which go in their meat and eggs. Phytoestrogens are known to mimic estrogen and can wreak havoc on the human body. Soy-free pasture raised eggs can have up to 6 times higher vitamin D than factory eggs. Soy-free is the way to go.

Q: Is raw milk unsafe to drink?
A: "Today if you mention raw milk, many people gasp and utter ridiculous statements like, “You can die from drinking raw milk!” But the truth is that there are far more risks from drinking pasteurized milk than unpasteurized milk. Raw milk naturally contains healthy bacteria that inhibit the growth of undesirable and dangerous organisms. Without these friendly bacteria, pasteurized milk is more susceptible to contamination. Furthermore, modern equipment, such as milking machines, stainless steel tanks and refrigerated trucks, make it entirely possible to bring clean, raw milk to the market anywhere in the US. "
