Chickens with their coop
Our chickens scratch daily and are supplemented with Organic non-Gmo, soy-free grains consisting of cracked corn, . Our chickens have 90 acres of lush green pastures to roam. We have a daily (sometimes twice a day) rotating pasture routine. We have 19 different pastures our chickens get to roam. It takes a full month to do a 100% full pasture rotation around the farm. They have their pastures rotated daily to ensure grass and soil health, and to get the best quality 'ground filled with bugs' as possible. We have two portable chicken coops that have great space underneath to help protect the chickens from the sun and/or predators throughout the day.
We have noticed having a daily pasture rotation for our chickens impacts our eggs in some tremendous ways. We have unclassified eggs that are hand picked daily. They are much bigger than the average with extra large yolks that are deep orange in color, and are far superior in taste than most.
Our chickens are sometimes given a treat from time to time. it can be skim milk curds or a daily scraps bucket. They go wild over them.
The chicken we sell for consumption are from a local farmer up the street from our farm with the same quality and values as ours. They receive Organic, Non-GMO, Soy-free feed.
